Job description
Our client who is in her 90's and has been diagnosed with Dementia. She lives in a lovely rural location, surrounded by substantial grounds in rural Worcestershire. There is little in the way of amenities within walking distance, hence the carer will be required to have their own transport. The client likes to socialise, whenever possible and would like to be taken to local clubs, where possible.
Although she walks with a frame, she likes the great outdoors and with Spring just around the corner it will be a good opportunity to exercise and to improve her mental health. Due to the difficulties of living with Dementia, the client, can have her moments of challenging behaviour, but this is to be expected and in the main she is is open to carer/client relationships. With gentle communication and relationship building skills, a lot can be achieved.
We would expect the contract to be performed on a week on, week off rota or three weeks on and one week off, but if both carers are in agreement we would show flexibility and on the rare occasion of sickness we would ask for some flexibility to cover, rather than place an unfamiliar carer with our client, especially where Dementia is diagnosed.
Carefour is a highly supportive employer, who will always strive to improve the outcomes of the clients we represent and to this end we have been voted a Top 20 Employer across the West Midlands for the last 5 years in a row. We are also rated as one of the leading care companies in Worcestershire, by client review and the CQC rated our caring as outstanding.

Thank you for your interest. Mark.
