Home Instead Isle of Wight is an independently owned office based in Cowes that provides tailor-made care to individuals within the community. At Home Instead you'll become more than just a carer, you're become a Care Professional, providing exceptional care to the individual you support.
This role is to offer holiday cover for our already Live In Care Professional (cover dates to be discussed), our client lives in a beautiful house within walking distance to our picturesque beaches so you can enjoy a nice stroll and relax on the beach during your break.
Our client is a lady in her late 80s who suffers from dementia and is currently bed bound. General day to day tasks include:
- Personal care with support from a secondary carer - continence support, washing and dressing
- Ensuring fluids are provided throughout the day and meal preparation
- completing home help tasks such as, hoovering. wiping down sides, washing up, empty bins and light dusting.
- Companionship - supporting with overall wellbeing
You will have your own bedroom within the client's property.
Shift pattern is 07:00 - 14:15 (break for 2 hours) 16:15 - 21:00
Care experience will be an advantage however not essential as full training and support is provided.
