Job description
Super opportunity with luxury private accommodation, car, meals, household bills, lessons, if wanted, on dressage schoolmaster, hacking in the beautiful New Forest National Park and wage all included for someone with a great love of horses. You must be experienced and confident handling 17hh horses. May suit gap year student or more mature fit person. Must be very tidy, trustworthy, have high standards and a great eye for detail.
Helping to care for our two lovely advanced dressage horses, kept within our curtilage, with all the usual yard/field/arena tasks and share in the work and activities related to the employers family household.
Lovely private suite of rooms living with the family in their New Forest Country House (female occupancy only). Ideally suit someone wanting to learn more about flatwork/dressage and competition grooming. Max. weight for riding around 11 stone. May consider a non rider. Use of swimming pool and hot tub during summer. Wage and 4 weeks paid holiday.
Our household pets include 2 cats and of course Donni and Sid our two lovely dressage horses, Donni an Advanced Medium schoolmaster would effectively be 'your horse' for the duration of the job and you could have lessons/hack him. Sid is working at Grand Prix. Around 5 - 6 hours work per day split between the horses requirements, with one whole day off per week. Extra work available in our lively village if required. Our last person studied to be a Physiotherapist alongside working here.
This is a lifestyle job, you would have to love horses, being in the countryside and joining in with everyday country life sharing in family tasks and activities. Bournemouth/Southampton/Salisbury around 30 minutes, Ringwood 8 minutes drive. Local beaches 10 minutes. Not isolated!

Requirements
Previous employees would like to recommend. May suit gap year or a more mature person who would like a more long term job and is keen to learn about dressage or just likes hacking in the National Park but may consider non rider. Must be capable to work on own sometimes and take sole charge for holidays when fully trained. Must be trustworthy, reliable, enthusiastic, happy in their work and very tidy around house and yard.

Accommodation
Luxury suite within large, family country house, fully furnished for single female occupancy only. Comprising : living room, large bedroom with kingsize draped bed, ensuite bathroom with w.c., basin, bath with shower over. Located in pretty New Forest village with various shops, hotels and pubs a short walk away. Sorry, prefer no pets, but maybe open to discussion depending on pet.

Excellent conditions, dressage lessons if wanted with B.D. Advanced dressage rider ( one per week plus extra riding/training subject to weather conditions and horses health, some help training towards B.H.S exams if required, car (you pay only for petrol and any extra loading on insurance due to age or penalties). Hacking in the New Forest National Park. (N.B. Your Lessons/hacking/ preparation time is not included in your working hours nor is travelling time).
