As a result of growth in the market, we are looking for a Litigation Paralegal to join our team of dedicated professionals, within our specialist National Fast Track Centre based in Sheffield. This role is to acquire evidence to determine liability and to maximise damages on cases which arise out of road traffic accident.
To undertake a caseload of fast track RTA cases which have exited the MOJ portal. To effectively acquire and complete evidence to determine liability and to maximise damages on behalf of the claimant and to prepare the case for the commencement of court proceedings. To organise and plan work and utilise the systems and processes in place correctly. Case handling must be undertaken
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to manage their own caseload of cases which have left the MOJ Portal and require further investigation. Day to day responsibilities include obtaining all necessary evidence to enable legal liability to be assessed, instructing medical experts, compiling medical records, gathering loss of earnings details and evidence of other financial losses. Comprehensive training and ongoing supervision will be provided to ensure success in the role. Whilst the caseload will consist of road traffic accident cases there will be an opportunity to learn and develop in other areas of personal injury.
This role requires strong organisational skills and the ability to work methodically on a number of cases. A keen eye for detail along with outstanding communication and client care skills are key. An appetite for working within a high performance environment, where you are able to demonstrate stamina, resilience and self-motivation is a must.
