What will you be doing?
As a Commodity Sales Execution Trader in Morgan Stanley's Prime Brokerage business the candidate will be responsible for the execution of listed commodities futures and options trades across global electronic trading platforms for Morgan Stanley clients.
The position is also jointly responsible for supporting and growing the Listed Derivatives business, part of the Prime Brokerage division, within Morgan Stanley. This will require budgetary decisions on the expenses required to achieve growth, advise, and develop strategic initiatives to enhance growth, and generate an independent revenue stream that is complimentary to the existing business.
The candidate will interact with institutional clients such as hedge funds, pension funds, asset managers, and index replicators on commodities futures markets providing services such as market color, investment themes, delivering Morgan Stanley house research, and possible trade ideas
What we’re looking for:
The ideal candidate will source liquidity and pricing for clients where appropriate in all commodity markets using an extensive list of client contacts.
They will have the ability to produce daily written notes with a roundup of market activity, opportunities, and news to be read by a global distribution list of investment professionals.
Carrying out detailed analysis of financial derivatives positioning to report on investor trends and sentiment to a corporate and institutional client base.
Skills that will help you in the role:
Knowledge of in house and external trading platforms to advise clients on system use, algorithmic trading tools, and option activities will be essential.

This role is deemed as a Certified role and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.
