Job Introduction

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Laboratory Leader to join the Liquid Quality Team at William Grant and Sons. You will lead your team to provide expert support for bottling and luxury operations, assuring mature spirit and final packaged goods quality as well as some exciting projects to ensure our business thrives for long term growth. Working collaboratively and cross functionally, you will ensure all products are adequately specified and approved, assuring product quality and performance fully meets the expectations of all key stakeholders.

Main Responsibility

If you are the successful candidate, you will take the liquid quality lead in all matters relating to internal and third-party bottling operations, working closely with distillery sites and new liquid development. You will ensure that all analytical testing requirements and risks for quality and performance are adequately identified, and that a management plan is in place to address or minimise any risks to product quality. You will be responsible for managing the process of development and deployment of relevant analytical methodologies or tools and quality standards and drive continuous improvement in everything you do.

You will be emotionally grounded in strong values with a highly effective communication style with the ability to use data to drive decisions. Key to the success of your role is your experience in analytical chemistry, laboratory equipment, method development, sensory analysis as well as extensive experience of quality systems and process implementation. You must also have a passion for learning.
