Liquid Handling Sales Specialist UK North and Northern Ireland


What you will do / Responsibilities will include:

As a sales specialist at Tecan you will have a varied & dynamic role, responsible for sales of our automated liquid handling systems. Your key tasks and activities will include:

  • Performing technical consultancy to fully understand customer needs and automation objectives
  • Demonstrating technical solutions by configuring systems, presenting solutions, referrals or demos
  • Managing customer expectations and in some cases challenging whether they are realistic and/or practical
  • Generation of customer required documentation including correctly formatted quotations
  • Submitting tenders and RFQs
  • Working with the applications team to assess technical risk of our solution
  • Managing the Installation process after receipt of sales order to ensure successful revenue recognition
  • Devises and formulates regional growth plan in line with the overall company objectives
  • Ensure that a measured risk approach is adopted for Terms and conditions of sale, involving legal according to the competency rules
  • Grow the business in a sustainable and ethical manner
  • Maintain relationships with existing customers to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Strong commercial skills and track record in sales
  • Life Sciences domain knowledge
  • Has experience with The Challenger sales process
  • Ability to recognize and solve potential problem areas demonstrating business safety and integrity
  • Solve business issues by managing costs and risks
  • Ability to communicate and understand the needs of the internal and external clients
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Willingness to travel
  • A degree in life science
  • A thirst for knowledge
  • A good communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
