Your Role:
As one of our Lifeguards, you will have an enthusiastic approach to working within a leisure environment as part of a team. You will work with your team to confidently fulfil lifesaving and first aid duties.
Within this role, you will be responsible for preparation and assistance in the operation of events (both on and off site) as requested by management. This also includes the setting up of all wet and dry facilities for use on a daily basis.
Great customer service will be a passion of yours and providing assistance to customers seeking advice and information, care and safety of customers and your flexible and helpful approach will be at the heart of achieving customer satisfaction.
Ongoing training will be required in order to maintain the highest level of operational efficiency and the successful candidate will be expected to consistently contribute to Inspiring healthy lifestyles objectives and values.
This role is subject to a DBS check.
Key Responsibilities:
Wet and Dry Sites
1. Work proactively to ensure the safety and control of customers/users of the facility at all times in accordance with operating procedures and codes of conduct.
2. Internal and external cleaning in accordance with work schedules and the needs and demands of the service.
3. Ensure that complaints and/or suggestions are referred to the relevant Assistant Manager in accordance with procedures.
4. To give assistance with other general duties, ensuring that standards of security, stock and equipment are maintained.
5. To carry out patrols both inside and outside the building and report any breaches of conduct/safety to the Assistant Manager.
6. To promote Inspiring healthy lifestyles Equality and Diversity Policy in terms of employment and service delivery.
7. To be knowledgeable on all products that Inspiring healthy lifestyles offer and have the ability to upsell at every opportunity.
Wet Sites
8. To be a competent lifeguard on the poolside, to include:
- Maintaining observation of pool and users at all times
- Ensuring water safety, early intervention and accident prevention
- Supervision of pool users
- To communicate with pool users and other team members
- To effect prompt rescues
- To use a range of rescue equipment
9. Record pool water and other environmental conditions in accordance with procedures.
