Introduction
Boeing Commercial Aviation Services Europe Limited (BCASEL) is an EASA and UK CAA approved Maintenance Repair Organisation with approval to provide Line & Base Maintenance services on 737 NG/Max, 777 and 787 aircraft.
Due to continued expansion, we are looking for B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineers and Structures, Avionic and Aircraft Mechanics to join our organisation.

Prospective candidates applying for Licensed Aircraft Engineer vacancies are required to hold a valid UK CAA Category B1 Part-66 Licence with one or more type rating on Group 1 aircraft (i.e. Airbus A320, Boeing 737, Embraer ERJ-170/190, Bombardier CL-600, Gulfstream G650). We would also like to speak to Mechanics or Technicians such as newly qualified basic licence holders or holders of licenses with limited or no certifying experience, who are seeking structured career progression to become a fully qualified Licensed Aircraft Engineer. Additional training on Boeing specific types will be provided for the right candidates.
Prospective candidates applying for Mechanic vacancies are required to have completed a recognised apprenticeship, formal training program or demonstrate comparable qualifications and be able to show recent maintenance experience on 737 NG/Max, 777, 787 or similar type aircraft.
These roles are based at the London Gatwick Hangar facility working a rotational shift pattern. A degree of flexibility is expected and shift patterns will vary as required in order to support business needs and operational requirements.
The roles will report to the Maintenance Manager - Production.
B1 Licensed Aircraft Engineer Responsibilities
- Supervise a team of Mechanics performing Base Maintenance on customer aircraft.
- Inspection and certification of scheduled maintenance tasks, defect rectification, modifications, structural repairs and functional tests on Airframe, Engine and Electrical systems.
- Ensure aircraft technical log book, maintenance documentation, job cards, work packages and zonal handovers are completed accurately and within prescribed timescales.
- Maintain a high standard of husbandry and cleanliness within assigned work areas.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company processes and procedures.
- Highlight any technical issues, discrepancies or other issues to the Lead Engineer.
- Support the Lead Engineer with the day to day running of their allocated zone and deputise during periods of absence.
- Actively support, promote and contribute to continuous improvement ideas and lean principles.
- Assist the management team in the day to day running of the London Gatwick Operation.
- Undertake any reasonable activities as required, including working away from London Gatwick.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Hold a valid UK CAA Category B1 Part-66 Licence.
- Type rating on one or more Group 1 aircraft (i.e. Airbus A320, Boeing 737, Embraer ERJ-170/190, Bombardier CL-600, Gulfstream G650).
- Flexible worker who is prepared to adjust working hours to meet operational demands.
- Meet the requirements to hold a London Gatwick Airport airside pass.
Structures, Avionic & Aircraft Mechanic Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, defect rectification, modifications, repairs and functional tests on Airframe, Engine, Avionic and Electrical systems under the supervisor of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer.
- Highlight any technical issues, discrepancies or other issues to the Licensed Aircraft Engineer.

This requisition is for a locally hired position in the United Kingdom. Boeing can provide visa sponsorship to work in the United Kingdom for suitably qualified candidates. Benefits and pay are determined at local level and are not part of Boeing United States based payroll.
