Job description
Based within the Reader Services Team at the Bodleian Social Science Library, you will perform a range of essential front-line tasks in one of Oxford’s busiest lending and reference libraries. Key tasks will include assisting readers at the issue desk with a range of enquiries, checking taught course reading lists and re-shelving returned books. You will have a demonstrable commitment to providing excellent customer service. You will be reliable, punctual and also have good IT and communication skills and be able to work as part of a team. Previous experience of working in a library or customer service role is desirable.
This a permanent, part-time post, working 14 hours per week in University Term Time (weeks 0-9, 30 weeks per year). The expected working days of this post are Wednesday late afternoons/evenings and a full working day on Sundays.
