Library Assistant
Part-time – 13.5 hrs per week, 40 weeks per year (term time plus 1 week)
Hours – Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 10.00 am – 3.00 pm
Band 3 - £21,394 - £23,367 pro rata per annum
Permanent – to start September 2023

We are seeking an enthusiastic and organised person to join our busy team in the Varndean College Library. The majority of your time will be spent at the library Help Desk, supporting and supervising students, and maintaining a suitable study environment.
It is essential that you have effective communication skills, a helpful friendly manner and a high level of IT literacy. Confidence with supervising students and managing behaviour is also required. Previous experience of working with young people in a school or college, or experience of working in an academic library is desirable.
