Library Assistant
NJC Scale 3, range 5 - 6 (£21,575 - £21,968 FTE) pro rata
(Actual starting salary: £9,289.36pa based on hours and weeks worked)
19 hours per week, term time only
Actual hours: 12:00 to 16:00 Wed, 8:00 to 16:00 Thurs and Fri
Required to work 2 professional days a year for which overtime will be paid
Some flexibility may be possible for an outstanding candidate.

Comberton Village College is looking to appoint an adaptable, well organised and friendly assistant to carry out general library duties and supervise students from ages 11 to 18 in our purpose-built Learning Resources Centre.
You will be working with a dynamic and committed team that promotes and supports all curriculum areas, encourages reading for pleasure, facilitates independent learning and research, enhances teaching and learning and supports the personal development and well-being of all students.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 GCSE grade 4/C including English and Maths, be interested in literature and have good ICT skills. You will have good communication skills and the ability to work be able to liaise confidently with staff and students, have an approachable and patient nature and good team-working skills.
