We have an opening for a Library Assistant to support the Science Team at Certara’s Simcyp Division. The successful candidate should be educated to at least A-level standard. Applicants must be well organised, demonstrate a keen attention to detail, possess individual motivation, and have demonstrable competency in IT (particularly Microsoft applications). They should also possess a flexible attitude and a desire to learn new skills. The successful candidate will work closely with the Librarian but will also interact with members of the Science Team. The candidate must also be eligible to work in the UK.
- Organising and filing of periodicals, papers and scientific resources.
- Ordering papers and scientific resources for the Simcyp libraries.
- Ensuring that all Copyright guidelines are adhered to.
- Administering literature discovery tools.
- Assisting scientists with preparation and submission of academic manuscripts to scientific journals.
- Publication searching using online resources e.g. Pubmed, Google scholar, EBSCO Discovery Service.
- Deliver training on library resources available to scientists.
- Coordinating the collation and analysis of scientific materials for PR purposes.
- General office administration.

- Experience in scientific/library related work.

- Experience in a role demanding attention to detail (eg proof reading)
- Experience with EBSCO Discovery Service and OpenAthens authentication.
