The Chalk Hills Academy are currently recruiting for a friendly and organised Academy Librarian and Displays Co-Ordinator to join our lovely support team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assistance to our staff and students by undertaking a range of duties, ensuring a high-quality service and contributing to the continuous improvement of the school library service. In addition to managing the day-to-day organisation of the Learning Resource Centre, the post holder will also have an additional responsibility as the Displays Co-Ordinator and will ensure that displays academy wide are up to date and engaging for the student body.
The successful candidate will
· Have demonstrable experience of dealing in person with a wide range of people in a customer orientated service
· Have demonstrable computing and keyboard skills and the ability to use CD Rom, Internet and Word processing packages
· Be able to sort accurately alphabetically and numerically
· Be able to advise customers and deal with enquiries politely and sensitively
· Be able to work as a member of a team in a busy library environment
· Be able to lift/carry books with appropriate aids and stand for long periods of time
Job specifics
Start date: April 2023
Salary: NJC L6 21-25 FTE £28,900 - £32,020 FTE (actual salary £23,550 - £26,093)
Contract: Full time, Permanent, Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm, 35 hours per week, 39 weeks, term time + inset.
