Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified to Level 3 or equivalent in HGV/LGV maintenance and repair.
- Experienced in using transport repair tools and associated software.
- Experienced in following established procedures and problem-solving and/or making sound judgments where not all information is available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures vehicles are repaired and maintained in accordance with prescribed standards.
- Prepares and present vehicles and trailers for MOT inspections.
- Diagnoses vehicle-related defects using available diagnostic equipment and arrange for relevant action to be taken.
- Liaises with vehicle manufacturers regarding acquiring of parts and replacement vehicles, keeping key colleagues informed of progress where necessary.
- Ensures high levels of safety and cleanliness at all times and that required house-keeping duties meet required standards.
- Updates and maintains appropriate records and ensures all relevant. information is shared with relevant departments on a timely basis.

- Adhere to company rules, policies, procedures consistently and encourage others to do the same.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation impacting on your role where required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and ensure that confidentiality is applied where appropriate.

- Ability to compile, analyse and interpret relevant data.
- Ability to use initiative and organise their work so that key tasks can be completed fully and on time.

- High attention to detail and confident to challenge working practices where necessary in the right manner and on a timely basis.
Additional Requirements:
- Holds a full driving license.
- Capable of remaining calm under pressure and be able to deal with difficult customer conversations.
- Be prepared to travel to and assist workshop colleagues at other depots and attend company events on a nationwide basis.
- Able to participate in an on-call rota and attend emergency call-outs where required.
