Job description
We are looking to recruit the following personnel.
LGV Relief Driver (HGV, Class 2)
Contract: Permanent and Full Time (42.5 hours per week)
Location: Based at Billingham TS23 1LE, covering drivers at Billingham, Stockton, Bishop Auckland.
Salary: Competitive
THE ROLE: You will be required to provide holiday and sickness cover for the LGV Drivers at our Billingham, Stockton and Bishop Auckland branches. When driving you will ensure that materials are delivered accurately to customer locations as well as doing daily vehicle safety checks.
This is a permanent full-time role where you will be driving the majority of the time, on the odd occasion that you weren’t required to drive you would work in the Billingham Warehouse. However, our current Relief Drivers are mainly on the road and rarely if ever have the opportunity to work in the warehouse.
The Relief Driver has first refusal when a permanent vehicle becomes available.
CANDIDATE: We are seeking a reliable and well-presented person who has good knowledge of the area, product knowledge on a range of building materials would also be an advantage.
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must have a LGV Category C Licence (previously known as Class 2), digital tachograph, Driver CPC and preferably a HIAB licence.

The normal working week will be Monday to Friday.
