What we can do for you: “Find your success with a Global Leader”
From day one, you’re set up to thrive at Caterpillar: helpful training, relatable mentors, global experience, competitive salary package, work-life balance and the growth opportunities you expect with a Fortune 100 company.
You power our success and we are committed to empowering yours. After all, when your work can impact the entire world, it’s important to do work that matters.
The Apprenticeship: “Let’s do the work”
Are you a hands-on learner with an eye for data analytics and like solving problems? Do you like the idea of working within an engine and battery research & development centre? Do you enjoy working among diverse people and teams towards a common goal? If you answered ‘yes’ to any of these questions, our Level 4 Quality Practitioner apprenticeship could be the ideal apprenticeship scheme for you!
We are looking for one talented apprentice to join our Global Engine Development (GED) Quality Systems team at our Peterborough facility. This 18-month apprenticeship scheme will enable you to grow and develop your capabilities. From day one you will be embedded in a team solving real world problems and through combining college-based learning with on-the-job training you’ll learn the latest skills and knowledge from our Quality Systems team and the wider GED teams, rotating through Operations and Facility support groups.
Our Quality Systems team members maintain and govern our Quality Management System (QMS) for GED. Being system focused, we utilise a range of tools, from Caterpillar home-created/configured lists to Office 365 advance tools – such as PowerApps & PowerBI to support a diverse work group in Research & Development. Maintaining our QMS and systems is critical to keeping our ISO 17025 Lab Accreditation and provides platforms for improvements within GED.
Apprentices will complete the Level 4 Quality Practitioner apprenticeship. This apprenticeship will likely follow a blended learning approach: workplace learning, remote learning, and day release at our partnered training provider’s premise. Apprentices will be required to travel.
