London South Bank University (LSBU) will provide an excellent course programme. LSBU were ranked 3rd for teaching quality in the UK (Sunday Times Good University Guide 2020) and ranked 2nd for overall satisfaction in Civil Engineering (National Student Survey 2019).

What will I be doing?
Within our Bridges team we develop the strategies and designs for the bridge infrastructure needed to support the built environment. This includes pedestrian, cycle and vehicle bridges of different scales and in different countries. The team often works with leading architects to design bridges that not only are fit for purpose but also the look and feel that the users can be proud of. As part of Buro Happold’s Bridge Engineering team you will develop your knowledge and skills to be able too:
- Complete detailed analysis and bridge design
- Analyse erection techniques
- Assess strength and propose rehabilitation of existing structures
What do I bring to this role?
- A keen interest in the built environment and a desire to develop your skills to design the broad range of bridge structures, coupled with an aptitude to develop these skills alongside use of information modelling software and design tools.
- A strong commitment to complete your day release studies and successfully achieve a civil engineering degree award.
- Confident, enthusiastic, proactive and 'can do' attitude.
- A positive and inquisitive approach and the confidence to ask and respond to challenging questions.
What qualifications will I need in order to enrol?
- A Level EEE or;
- BTEC National Diploma MPP or;
- Access to HE qualifications with 45 Passes or;
- Equivalent level 3 qualifications worth 48 UCAS points
- Level 3 qualifications must include Maths and Physical Science
- Applicants must hold 5 GCSEs A-C including Maths and English or equivalent (reformed GCSEs grade 4 or above).
- We welcome qualifications from around the world. English language qualifications for international students: IELTS score of 6.0 or Cambridge Proficiency or Advanced Grade C.
