Our Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Technician Apprenticeship was created to provide people with the chance to contribute to the safety, health, and the environmental requirements of Network Rail’s operations. This apprenticeship is paramount to creating a safe environment for your colleagues and passengers. Through a mixed blend of part-time study and real-world experience, you’ll become professionally recognised by joining the Institute of Occupational Safety, Health (IOSH) at TechIOSH level.
Overview

What you’ll be doing
In this role, you’ll be partly office based and partly onsite providing advice to others on how to work without causing harm to themselves or others. No working day will be the same as you will be engaging with different areas of the organisation to ensure everyone returns home safely each day. You will also help to protect and enhance the global land, air, and water resources for future generations. You’ll influence others to see the benefit of how working responsibly can enhance the running of Network Rail.
You can undertake a planned rotation across different departments within the organisation which will fundamentally help your progress in achieving your career goals at Network Rail.
What you’ll get out of it
Upon scheme completion, you can join the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) at TechIOSH level. This apprenticeship will be Level 3.
