Job description
Hello from b_together, the new hangout for modern family living. We exist to bring together families, loved ones, friends, young and old, tall and small.
This year, we are launching a new concept in early years, called Make + Do. It covers childcare, classes and camps for children aged 1yr - 8yrs. Is it a curriculum? Yes. Is it an ethos? Yes. Is it like nothing you’ve seen before? We damn well hope so!
To deliver the Make + Do magic we need awesome people - teachers, practitioners, educators - who all have one thing in common: a passion and responsibility for curating a child's learning experience in the most formative years of their lives.
SO at b_together we call our big people who work with the little people, our Curators. We are not an academic institution, so we don't believe in formal titles. Our Curators are the custodians of creativity and nurturers of learning, which is quite possibly the coolest job ever.
As a D.I.T Curator you will be in essence a creative being, and will love making art, telling stories, immersing yourself in roleplay, singing, moving, getting messy communicating and inspiring learning - you will be part of the new wave of early years superheroes. The role requires a dynamic creative individual with a passion for delivering creative action packed classes to young children and their parents or carers.
Their key focus is on children growing in confidence and ensuring they learn vital skills as they listen to stories, experience confident role play with their peers, use their imagination to build an imaginary world around them - sing - move to music - dress up and immerse themselves in the most enjoyable learning environment exposing them to early numeracy and literacy as they explore the world around them.
First and foremost, they must love getting down and messy with children - we want someone who truly knows what it is to nurture and play at their level.
A great Team is how we achieve this with amazing staff who are ambitious who want to make a real difference and who knows how to have a whole lot of fun at the same time. We are an outlet for creativity, always looking for the next bright idea and people with a spark to make great things happen!
