Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship: Communications
Duration: 21 month fixed-term contract
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to join a dedicated team as a Business Administration Apprentice!

The communications team is responsible for all communicating effectively with patients and staff.
The Business Administration Apprenticeship programme will provide the opportunity to learn vocational skills, whilst also studying towards a nationally recognised qualification in business administration.
We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic, creative, flexible, with an eye for detail, as well as someone who can demonstrate a high level of commitment to the apprenticeship programme.

This role will be an important part of the communications team and will involve:
· Handling enquiries from members of the public, patients and staff via telephone and email
· Providing support for a wide range of projects, as required
· Providing daily and weekly media monitoring updates
· Regular monitoring of social media accounts
· Providing finance and procurement support to the team, using relevant systems
· Organising and supporting with events, both in-person and online
· Providing logistical support inc. the distribution of communications materials across sites
· Maintaining up-to-date records and information
The post holder will be required to achieve work-related competencies over the contract period, in order to achieve the full apprenticeship.
The salary for the first twelve months is £10,000 per annum, rising to national minimum wage for the duration of the contract.
Job basics:
Post holders will be employed by UHB on a 21 month fixed-term contract for the duration of the apprenticeship programme, and will enrol with a local education provider to undertake the qualification; all training for the qualification will be delivered online.
Hours of work will 7.5 hours a day, Monday to Friday, and will include time to attend a study day on a monthly basis.
Although based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham site, there is a requirement to regularly travel to our other hospital sites, so willingness to travel between sites is essential.
All applicants must be:
Aged 16+
Resident in the UK/ EEA for the last three years
Must NOT be in any form of formal government-funded education
Qualified to Level 2 (GCSE grade 4 or above) in English and maths.
