ISG have an exciting opportunity for those looking to pursue a career in law, this is the first of its kind in the construction industry. Our vacation programme will enable you to develop a range of skills and gain a wide range of experience which is both practical and enjoyable and will reflect the Trainee Solicitor experience. Being a successful construction lawyer requires more than just legal training: you'll need in depth understanding of how the industry operates and how a tier 1 contractor does business. By completing a Vacation Scheme at ISG you will have the opportunity to work with leading technology giants, revolutionary start-up companies, key public sector providers and world-renowned names.
ISGs vacation scheme will run in our London office from 7th-18th August 2023. This is a full time placement, 37.5 hours a week. Unfortunately we cannot offer ad hoc placements or work experience opportunities within our legal team so you must be available for the full placement.

We will provide you with the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills by supporting our Legal Counsel and you can expect to get involved with:
Document reviews
Legal research
Reviewing ancillary documents (including NDAs)
Delivering training to non-legal colleagues
Completing mock negotiation
Completing simulated contract review

Candidate Profile and entry criteria
A successful candidate must be:
Second or final year law university student with a high-quality law degree; or
Final year non-law student looking at completing the GDL
Essential skills

Strong problem solving abilities
Attention to detail
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with staff at all levels
Ability to remain resilient, calm and measured under pressure
Ability to be self-starting and independent as well as self-motivated
