We are looking for a Legal Support Specialist to join the legal team at Deloitte Global. An ideal candidate is someone who is a fast learner, is willing to roll up his/her sleeves and work collaboratively across a wide variety of legal areas, and who takes initiative to identify and solve problems.

This Legal Support Specialist provides an excellent opportunity to learn about the many aspects of Deloitte’s business. The position requires the individual to perform assignments that are varied and complex in nature supporting primarily the attorneys in the Corporate and Technology & Shared Services teams of DTTL OGC.

Responsibilities include:

  • Creating and overseeing a legal department calendar
  • Tracking and monitoring legal entities and required filing dates
  • Maintaining an electronic filing system for legal department records via the document management system, ensuring that files are accessible and easy to find
  • Maintain repository of templates used by attorneys in the supported teams
  • Developing and maintaining legal department resources, playbooks, and compliance guides
  • Researching legal and commercial rules, regulations, and statutes
  • Preparing internal and external correspondence and managing signatures
  • Monitoring legal department inboxes
  • Managing mailings
  • Supporting the Legal Department in department and organization-wide initiatives and multi-departmental projects, as needed

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a law-firm or in-house legal department supporting a legal or compliance function
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and counsel
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously through prioritization and expectation management
  • Strong writing and analytical skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
  • Self-starter who is excited to manage a wide array of responsibilities
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
