Job description

We are looking for a dynamic self-motivated individual to work for a rapidly growing Legal firm based in Lancaster City Centre who specialize in a Law, wills, Business and Commercial property, Residential Conveyancing.

Responsibilities:

  • Drafting legal documents; Answering client calls and emails; Providing administrative support in the office.
  • Answer incoming calls and greet callers with professionalism.
  • scanning incoming post and other documents
  • processing outgoing post
  • Book appointments for the fee earners if needed.
  • preparing Ebundles and Bundles for hearings
  • sending quotes for new matters
  • oboarding clients onto new case management system
  • Prepare or review legal documents.
  • Prepare legal correspondence.
  • Respond to questions from the public via telephone, in writing, or in person.
  • Maintain registers of wills and deeds and deal with will enquiries
  • Take notes during meetings and update files as needed.
  • assist with conveyancing searches
  • file archiving

The role:-

  • Full time - Monday – Friday,
  • To work within a growing team
  • Assisting solicitors and para-legals in progressing cases.
  • Dealing with the litigation team email and post and identifying and actioning certain court documents.
  • Organising required payment fees to be sent to court.
  • Managing litigation team diary of court dates.
  • Dealing with client enquiries should they require an update on the current status of their case.
  • Drafting letters.
  • Inputting data
  • Raising invoices
