Job description
An exciting and new opportunity has arisen for a Legal Services Manager to join the legal team at Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. As one of the best performing Trusts in the country, the successful candidate will manage a stimulating caseload of clinical negligence claims, employer and public liability claims, inquests and will provide legal advice on healthcare matters to staff within the Trust.
We are looking for a highly motivated, robust and committed individual with excellent communication skills to join our busy team. The ideal candidate will have NHS, claims and Inquest management experience. You must have a pro-active approach to work, be a team player, and able to successfully manage conflicting pressures and a challenging workload.
The successful candidate will be responsible for their own caseload and will liaise with a number of key stakeholders, both internally and externally, to include NHS Resolution, panel solicitors, Coroner’s officers, clinical staff and other departments within the Legal Services Department.
The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a clear understanding, of the Civil Procedure Rules and the claims process, understand the principles of investigations and claims management and be able to analyse and present information clearly and concisely.
