We are seeking a motivated Legal Intern who has successfully completed their Bar Practice Course to join our small team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assistance to the legal team in researching and preparing legal documents and letters, shadowing a barrister in court and providing administrative support. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal terminology, excellent research skills, and an ability to work independently as well as in a team setting. The post is voluntary but a payment for lunch and travel will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct legal research.
- Assist in drafting legal documents.
- Attend court hearings and depositions.
- Assist in preparing for trials and other legal proceedings.
- Maintain client records and files.
- Gather evidence and review documents for accuracy and completeness.
- Provide administrative support to attorneys.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
