Job description
We are looking for a lawyer to provide day-to-day coverage of the Goldman Sachs ETF Accelerator business. The ideal candidate will have general regulatory and/or investment funds experience, ideally including exchange traded funds (ETFs). The role will be based in either London or Paris, and will involve advising on the regulation, establishment, management, governance and marketing of ETFs (including equity, debt, and other asset class funds), outsourcing arrangements and ETF trading matters. The lawyer will support senior stakeholders across business and control-side teams with all aspects of this new business, including identifying legal and reputational risks, managing external counsel, negotiating agreements, participating on firm committees, and developing policies, procedures, and other governance materials. Given the fundamental developments in the regulations globally applicable to the firm’s businesses, a key component of the role will also include contributing to the analysis of, and formulation of strategic responses to, shifting legal and regulatory frameworks.
This is a role within the GS EMEA Global Banking & Markets Public legal team, and will sit within the firm’s EMEA Equities legal coverage. You will work closely with the Goldman Sachs ETF Accelerator business, as well as with multiple other stakeholders, including other lawyers across the legal division, compliance, internal audit and operations. As a global financial institution, Goldman Sachs provides the opportunity to work with colleagues in multiple locations across the globe, including Europe, the U.S. and Asia.
