We are currently looking for talented and skilled Legal Counsel with specialist expertise in working with UK central government to provide legal advice and support our clients business on strategic priorities globally with the primary focus on the UK and European markets.

As Legal Counsel you will be responsible for:
- Advising on pre-sales bids for (and the in-life delivery of) our clients strategic contracts with UK government agencies and our client’s public safety customers in Europe including go-to-market framework opportunities and other government contracting vehicles.
- Advising on EU and UK public procurement regimes as they relate to the clients delivery to government in the region.
- Strategic and contract review, risk analysis and mitigation plans.
- Drafting, reviewing, editing, finalising, and negotiating transactional agreements to meet business and legal requirements. Agreements include sales/supply and reseller/distribution agreements; end user license agreements, professional services agreements, statements of work (SOW), OEM Agreements, Channel Marketing Programs, Maintenance Agreements, Consulting and Advisory Agreements and Outsourcing and Hosting agreements, Software as a Service (SAAS) agreements, and other technology agreements.
- Managing contract disputes, including understanding the issues, providing guidance on options and solutions.
- Providing counsel and guidance for the accomplishment of overall business objectives while fully complying with applicable laws and regulations and avoiding unacceptable risks; perform informed cost-benefit analysis when identifying risks. This includes supporting the business and product development processes by providing key inputs and advice on legal risks and issues, prioritizing risks, and ensuring compliance with government and customer-imposed requirements.
- Proactively developing and maintaining technical knowledge in specialized area(s), remaining up-to-date on current trends and best practices.
- Advising on legal and commercial issues relating to in-line project delivery, customer, and supplier management.
- Management of outside counsel.
- Supporting M transactions in region as needed (due diligence and integration activities).
- Liaising with our clients counsel in region and globally on strategic projects and initiatives.
- Reviewing and resolving governance and ethics issues arising out of business operations.
Basic Requirements
- Qualified solicitor/ barrister with 3+ years PQE.
- Commercial lawyer, with in-house experience strongly preferred.
- Fluency in German, or other European language, would be preferable.

Salary: £80,000.00-£85,000.00 per year
