What we do
Revalue supercharges the world's leading nature-based developers. We enable them to go from the initial rapid assessment to first credit issuance, and beyond. This is a fully remote role and is strongly preferred to be based in London, but other locations can also be considered.
Tasks
What are the main responsibilities of the role?
As Legal Counsel you will be working directly with our COO & General Counsel across a wide-array of tasks required to setup and scale an early-stage company. We need someone who is excited to get their hands dirty, to work broadly, and who gets energy from building new things and getting stuff done.
The role will include but not be limited to:
- Providing legal support to various internal departments
- Working with outside counsel to structure deals and confer on regulatory issues, as required
- Negotiating and drafting commercial contracts and financing instruments
- Structuring and managing project financing transactions
- Taking preemptive measures to avoid legal risks and conflicts
- Keeping abreast of the regulatory landscape (carbon regulations among others)
What do we expect from you?

- Evidence that you can work in remote teams, are a self-driver with a willingness to take initiative and are committed to continuous improvement and consistent high performance within a complex and fast-growing sector
- An understanding of nature-based solutions is desirable but not a must
- Qualified to practice law in England & Wales or New York or California
- 3-6 years post-qualification experience in private practice or in-house
- Proven track record in project finance, debt/equity finance and general corporate/ commercial is essential
- Experience with carbon finance a plus
- Experience in emerging markets a plus
