Scott-Moncrieff & Associates Ltd is looking to add a Legal Cashier to our team, based in London EC4. This is a full-time position and varied role where attention to detail and efficient working are important. Hybrid working possible and an excellent salary on offer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Posting client and office account transactions
- Reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards and supplier statements
- Ensuring compliance with Firm policies and Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Posting payments from clients and legal aid agency on accounting system
- Processing credit card payments
- Assisting with payments of disbursements, expenses and staff expenses
- Assisting with relevant queries and liaising with fee earners and billing
- VAT returns
- Run monthly and year-end reports
- Maintain a positive attitude toward all team members
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Cashiering experience from an established law firm essential, knowledge of ALB case management and accounting system a plus.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree preferred. 5 years of experience in a similar position required.
- Must have strong law firm accounting and/or bookkeeping experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills essential.
- Ability to type 40+ wpm. Ability to multi-task with minimal supervision.
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Knowledge of ALB case management and accounting system is good.

Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
