About the team
Legal Operations brings together a multi-disciplinary approach combining knowledge and skills across the legal, regulatory, data, technology and delivery management domains. We deliver successful business outcomes on a range of different types of work at varying scales including; managing large data-led contract remediation engagements, providing legal support on individual contract negotiations and running client outreach and query management helpdesks.
Essential skills and experience
Minimum 2:2 degree in a legal subject
Able to apply a logical and analytical approach to work.
Able to manage time, prioritise tasks and work under tight deadlines.
Previous customer service/client experience with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders
Able to demonstrate an aptitude for learning new systems and IT applications.
Role description and responsibilities
We are looking for legal-focused graduates or those who have experience in a legal and/or corporate environment. As a Legal Operations Associate, you will work with your team on various client engagements ranging from contract negotiation to litigation, legal data/process reviews and legal project management.
Key Responsibilities may include
Reviewing and reporting on contracts and other information as part of corporate due diligence exercises
Checking legal documentation for quality, consistency and content
Client outreach activities across a number of different regulations and document types
Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts such as ISDA Master Agreements, NDAs and Commercial lending agreements
Completing forms, pro forma documents, company searches and indexing/sending documentation to data rooms/storage
Case and documentation review – analysing legal and other documents to identify key facts, anomalies, etc, for categorisation
Assisting with post completion tasks on legal projects
Conducting legal and commercial market research
Daily team meetings/External client meetings
Create and compile reports for stakeholders/clients via spreadsheets
Ad Hoc project specific tasks
