The team provides residential conveyancing services, and also advises on equity release and re-mortgage, leasehold enfranchisement, licences and variations, development and planning. We have specialist sector expertise in listed property, country estates and high value property in London and across the UK. Our clients include individuals, landed estates, developers and portfolio owners. Our matters range in value up to approximately £50m.

The Role:
We are looking for a Legal Assistant to join this team to carry out:
· File opening and closing;
· Drafting engagement letters
· Amending documents from manuscript and copy typing of documents
· Dictation – correspondence and emails
· Diary management
· Liaising with clients and other third parties
· Preparing bills, management of payments, receipts and transfers, dealing with arising queries and issues
· Preparing completion statements using Excel
· Making and managing Land Registry applications
· Making and managing online SDLT returns
Skills needed:
The successful candidate will have:
· Previous experience of working as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant in a residential property/conveyancing team
· fast, accurate typing skills
· the ability to follow procedural and legal protocol
· a methodical approach and good time management
· excellent IT skills
· good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
· positivity and adaptability
· a high standard of written and spoken English
· the ability to work independently and use initiative

The salary for the position is £25,000 to £32,000 depending on experience. We offer a very competitive benefits package including discount vouchers, virtual GP service and fitness and nutrition health checks.
