If you have a passion for Civil Litigation, Immigration and Family Law, you might be the perfect fit for our Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant or Paralegal position. The role & responsibilities:
- The candidate should have previous UK work experience in Immigration or Civil Litigation or Family Law.
- Your role will primarily involve providing a full range of secretarial and administrative support, including dealing with all incoming and outgoing post, scanning and copying and general file management.
- Answering client queries, providing them with regular updates and taking messages on behalf of the team, liaising with clients and third parties.
- Drafting letters, documents, preparing statements, completing forms and legal documents.
As a firm, an emphasis is placed on client service and communication, and you will be expected to demonstrate a similar supportive ethos whilst maintaining client confidentiality. File organisation and the ability to deal with clients, both on the telephone and in the office, are essential.
Necessary Skills/Experience:
- Ability to perform legal research that is both in-depth and precise
- Ability to work quickly and to tight deadlines
- Excellent proofreading and writing skills
- Excellent demonstrable time management skills
- Outstanding command of written and spoken English
- Ability to complete research, and draft articles, legal opinions, and memoranda within required deadlines
- Ability to maintain and proactively manage caseload
- Ability to deal with clients and government entities in a professional manner
- Ability to interact confidently with clients via correspondence and telephone
- Ability to solve problems and prioritise tasks
- Ability to create and maintain a positive office environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- You should be well informed, a fast learner, and be able to hit the ground running
- Business acumen and the ability to market the Firm
- Excellent analytical and organisational skills and ability to use own initiative but know when to seek guidance

About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have UK legal work experience in a similar role
- Have experience in carrying out administrative support within a legal environment
- The candidate should be on the way of completing law degree with a strong interest in continuing legal career
- Be conscientious, flexible and willing to learn
- Be a driven and enthusiastic individual
Qualifications
· On the way of completing a Law degree
- Have UK legal work experience in a similar role preferably in a law firm
- Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols
