Job description
We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our EHS team as a legal assistant. We hope to work with our new legal assistant to help them qualify as a solicitor, either through the CILEX route or via SQE. The successful candidate will provide general support to the lawyers and Partners within the team, with some of the key responsibilities detailed below:
- Attending meetings and hearings to take notes
- Collating information and uploading to our document management platforms
- Providing basic marketing support to clients, lawyers and fee earners, arranging client events and marketing collateral and creating supporting PowerPoint presentations
- Taking the lead on team finances, assisting on credit control and debt management, supporting the fee earners with accurate client billing and budget
- Diary management and booking travel for team members
- Organise summary documents and collate information for reporting purposes
- Research and ongoing CPD management for the team
- Attending centrally organised external training and disseminating notes to the EHS team
- Preparing court bundles
- Drafting witness statements and chronologies
- Opening and closing files
- Co-ordinating and managing compliance projects, collating data from the global Eversheds Sutherland network
- Proof reading/cross referencing documentation
