Due to continued growth we are currently recruiting for a full time Legal Assistant to join our busy Contentious Probate Department.
Previous experience in any of the following areas would be advantageous; contentious probate, private client, litigation or conveyancing, although not essential as full training will be provided. We welcome applications from law graduates with an interest in Dispute Resolution and/or wills & probate who want to develop their career within a highly experienced team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting fee earners with case progression and helping them manage their caseloads by dealing with specific delegated tasks.
- Preparing Hearing and Trial bundles.
- Drafting documents including instructions to counsel.
- Sitting behind counsel note taking
- Dealing with new telephone enquiries.
- Dealing with correspondence and liaising directly with clients and third parties.
- Attend to clients, both in person and on the telephone, to provide support in a professional and friendly manner in keeping with the firm’s standards for client care.
- Ensuring compliance with quality control procedures for all matters within your control.
- Legal research.

- Demonstrates an interest in contentious wills and probate.
- Ability to show empathy, be confident, patient and understanding.
- Good communication skills - both oral and written.
- Some legal work experience is desirable.
