Job description
This full-time role involves working as part of a professional, friendly team providing wide ranging administrative support from proof reading and document preparation to conducting legal research and maintaining accurate electronic records. You will be inquisitive and have good organisational skills with ability to work to deadlines, a confident multitasker and communicator with proficient IT skills.
Job Description
The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- general administrative support to the team such as photocopying, scanning, filing, making and receiving telephone calls and dealing with basic telephone enquiries, dealing with incoming and outgoing post, attending meetings and taking notes where needed
- file creation
- proof reading policies and documentation
- assisting with compilation of standard documentation and information packs for property developments
- obtaining title documents and submitting searches
- preparing engrossment documents for signature and overseeing the internal signing procedure
- preparing Land Registry applications, Stamp Duty and Companies House submissions;
- acknowledging and responding to notices in respect of both residential and commercial developments
- management of the key-dates reminder system and deeds storage
- maintenance of accurate electronic records and ensuring all records are up to date and filed appropriately
- conducting legal research
- closing and archiving files together with management of the archiving database
- undertaking such other duties as may from time to time be required to support the In-House legal Team to support the Group’s corporate objectives.
Required Skills
- Discretion – dealing with confidential information and maintaining confidentiality
- Ability to deal with large amounts of information and work on several tasks at the same time
- Good organisational and time management skills – ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to communicate and present information clearly and concisely both verbally and written
- High level of accuracy and good attention to detail
- Confident IT skills, in particular Microsoft systems particularly Office and Teams. Whilst experience of using a legal Case Management System and data rooms would be an advantage it is not essential.
- Ability to plan and manage own workload
- Ability and willingness to follow instruction and learn new tasks
- Adaptable and able to remain calm under pressure without sacrificing attention to detail
- Work as part of team and be open minded and flexible towards on-going development of the role
- Willingness to undergo internal and external training
- Inquisitive mind happy to engage in independent study to support training
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £24,000.00 per year
