The Role
The Legal Assistant will demonstrate administrative competencies to the highest level. You will provide first-class administrative support and services to the Director Legal Services, SHEQ, Regulatory Relations and Corporate Responsibility, as well as assigned duties within the legal department


In this role, you will:


  • Assist with physical and electronic file organization
  • Schedule and arrange catering for meetings
  • Prepare agendas, meeting materials and minutes
  • Provide technical support for meetings
  • Draft correspondence, legal documents and other paperwork as required
  • Organize and book travel arrangements
  • Maintain calendars and schedules
  • Process payment for external counsel and consultant invoices
  • Administer Cameco’s contract and agreement database

Required:


  • Administrative diploma
  • Five years of administrative support experience, preferably in the legal field
  • Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications, specifically MS Word
  • Working knowledge of corporations, corporate structures and governance

Recommended:


  • Legal Assistant diploma
  • Understanding of bookkeeping and accounts payable processes
  • Experience working with and understanding of legal agreements and business contracts
