Immigration Compliance Assistant
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for new enthusiastic and detail-oriented Immigration Compliance Assistants to join our ONCAMPUS team. This is a great opportunity for those looking for entry-level roles in the field of Compliance!
At the moment we have this role on the following basis. Please state your availability / preference in the application form:
- Full-time, 3 months fixed-term contract until September / October 2023.
- Full-time, 6 months fixed-term contract until January 2024.
The role is based in Cambridge, United Kingdom in our Head Office where we operate on a Hybrid Working policy (3 days per week can be worked from home).
About the role
This role will form part of a cross-CEG team of UKVI compliance expertise, but with specific responsibility for new applications across CEG’s academic centres. The post-holder will be working closely with the Central Admissions Team and Global Sales Team, conducting visa interviews and vetting applications to ensure high standards of immigration compliance throughout the visa application process, with a focus on visa interview and assisting with administrative tasks. In order to achieve this goal, the post-holder will assess applications and conduct interviews as well as working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders across CEG’s central functions, sales team and educational agencies. Strong commitment in providing excellent customer service is key to this role.
Some of the Key responsibilities:
- To work closely with Central Admissions team and Global Sales Team by advising on and vetting student’s application documents such as financial evidence, birth certificate and TB certificates to ensure students successfully obtain their visa by following the correct procedures and processes stipulated by the UKVI.
- To conduct compliance interviews and provide feedback to applicants/agents to ensure they are familiar with the visa interview process and given constructive feedback promptly.
- To screen applications by reviewing supporting documentations and conducting thorough compliance interviews, with an aim to drive down visa refusal and non-completion rates.
Key person specification we are looking for:
- Educated to A-Level or equivalent (essential)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (essential)
- Methodical with great attention to detail whilst being able to work towards tight deadlines and under great pressure (essential)
- Proven record of providing excellent level of customer care (essential)
- To work with high level of autonomy as well as a team member (essential)
- Able to deal with stakeholders of all levels from students to agents and from colleagues within CEG as well as those from partner universities (essential)
