About the Role
The nurse paramedic programme is situated at the forefront of integrated healthcare by combining nursing and paramedic practice. Students on the programme gain eligibility to register as an adult nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council and as a paramedic with the Health and Care Professions Council.
In this post you will join a programme team consisting of both nursing and paramedic academics and will play a significant role in the design, delivery, and evaluation of the programme curriculum, including relevant and appropriate postgraduate and CPD provision.
You will have primary responsibility for the development and use of teaching and learning strategies that promotes the development of undergraduate and post graduate nursing and midwifery registrants who can work effectively within a multi- professional team across aspects of a programme.
You will be expected to contribute to the research activities of one of our Research Units and meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework exercise.

About You
You will be an enthusiastic, innovative, and engaging professional with significant teaching/practice experience, able to deliver high quality teaching to our students. The successful post holder will have an effective communication & leadership style and possess excellent interpersonal skills. Time and workload management skills are a key requirement to this post and having a strong commitment to the welfare and success of students will be key to your success in a growing department. You will possess significant and demonstrable practice-based/academic experience underpinned by a sound working knowledge of the contemporary professional landscape.
To be successful you will further enrich our students’ experience through your expertise and subject knowledge as evidenced through your qualifications and extensive experience of professional practice. In return, you will join a forward thinking and dynamic team that pushes the boundaries of nurse paramedic practice.
It is important to note that the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure for you from the Disclosure and Barring Service and that this will form part of the conditions of offer of employment.
