About the Role
In this role, you will be joining a small, friendly department - a forward thinking and dynamic team that pushes the boundaries of curriculum development within Geography and Geology.
You will be required to make a significant contribution to the delivery of our programmes, delivering our specialist undergraduate and postgraduate modules on GIS and remote sensing and other areas of our core geography curriculum depending on your areas of expertise and experience.
You will be expected to contribute to the research profile of the department through the activities of one of our Research Units, and to meet the qualitative and qualitative requirements for submission to the next Research Excellence Framework.

About You
You will be an enthusiastic and friendly professional with excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a commitment to providing an excellent student experience. An established or promising research profile involving the use of remote sensing and geographical information systems in physical or environmental geography/geology and very good teaching experience on undergraduate geography/earth/environmental science programmes is essential. A background in physical geography/earth/environmental sciences with supporting qualifications and experience of teaching at postgraduate level would be an advantage.
