About us: The Department of Architecture and the Built Environment is a centre of academic excellence with an established and respected global reputation.

Our award-winning R Block on Frenchay Campus is home to inspiring facilities, from computer-aided design (CAD) studios to modelling workshops. Hone your craft in a space that won the Royal Fine Art Commission 'Building of the Year' award for Architectural Education.

Thanks to our strong partnership with the Architecture Centre in Bristol, we’ve built connections with leading experts and practices in the private, public and voluntary sectors. Through regular consultation with local, national and international employers, we offer cutting-edge insight.

We’re discovering new ways to create and manage more sustainable buildings, whether they’re in urban, rural, residential, or commercial spaces. Our environmental research underpins all our teaching, encouraging future architects to focus on sustainability from the outset.

About the vacancy: The Department wishes to appoint a Lecturer / Senior Lecturer in Construction Project Management to help develop and contribute to teaching, research, and knowledge exchange within the Department.

Suitable applicants for this post will be able to demonstrate expertise in general Construction Project Management topics as well as more specialist applied knowledge in areas including, for example Construction and Procurement Law, project management, contract administration, programming, modern methods of construction and Building Information Modelling.

You will be joining a growing, ambitious department that values the integration of research and practice-led materials within teaching and learning very highly. Thus, the successful applicant will be expected to undertake design and delivery of teaching that is engaging, innovative and responsive, achieving outstanding student learning outcomes. Frenchay campus has excellent transport links; as well as being located near the motorway network we are within walking distance of two train stations, our bus terminus connects us to the local bus and metrobus network and we also have a range of cycling and changing facilities.
