We are looking forward to welcoming new academics into our vibrant team of teachers and researchers in the Department of Biochemistry and Physiology. We are inviting applications from people with a PhD and evolving research profile whose primary interest is in Biochemistry and who have relevant teaching and research experience at BSc level or higher. Our department has existing expertise in Immunology, Biochemistry, Physiology, Cardiovascular science and Chronobiology. The Department is part of a wider School of Biosciences with a vibrant community of academics across disciplines such as Nutrition and Exercise Sciences, Experimental Medicine and Microbiology. Interdisciplinary collaborations across and outside the University are actively encouraged and we have key local partners in hospitals and Institutes. We have state of the art research facilities including single cell-omics, a comprehensive imaging suite, clinical and biological research facilities. Our beautiful campus is situated in Guildford with excellent travel links and is just 30 minutes outside London by train.
