Job description
We are seeking a full time Lecturer in Travel and Tourism to join our highly effective teaching team. Flexible working will be considered for this role and there are part time opportunities available.
The successful candidate should have experience of working with young people aged 16-19 as well as the ability to deliver highly engaging lessons that look to stretch and challenge our students whilst preparing them for their next steps. You should have a passion for the subject with the drive to achieve outstanding success for both students and the department. You should be flexible in your approach and be willing to deliver Travel, Tourism and Hospitality units across Levels 2 and 3.
You will ideally hold a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards achieving one and hold an appropriate degree or relevant experience of the industry. Fareham College will provide free teacher training to the successful candidate if required.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required
Relevant degree and/or appropriate level professional qualifications (essential)
Experience in Travel, Tourism and Cabin Crew (essential)
Awareness of contemporary issues in Travel and Tourism (desirable)
Level 3 Qualification in the relevant area of expertise (desirable)
Level 2 qualifications or equivalent in Maths and English (essential)
L5 Teaching qualification (or commitment to achieving this in the required timeframe (desirable)

The salary bandings are £22,248 - £32,053 per annum (FTE) for unqualified applicants and £25,586 - £36,803 per annum (FTE) for qualified applicants.
