This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to join the School of Education as a Lecturer in Education on the Teaching and Research (T&R) pathway as it embarks on its new research strategy. The successful candidate will join a friendly and thriving School that encompasses a broad range of educational research and professional practice interests.
The School will support the successful candidate to commence or develop their career in Higher Education, and expect them to be an active contributor to research activity through grant applications, external collaboration and research publication. The School is able to offer some financial support for research and scholarly activity undertaken by its staff, and the College of Social Science provides an active programme of research events including support for researchers in the development of funding bids and the building of external networks.
The School has a thriving international postgraduate student community that helps to create a vibrant and stimulating learning and teaching environment. Depending on areas of expertise and interest, the successful applicant will contribute to teaching on our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and may also, in due course, have the opportunity to support postgraduate research supervision.
