The University College Isle of Man (UCM) are looking for a passionate Lecturer in Brickwork and Construction to join our friendly, supportive team!
Within this role, you’ll deliver high quality teaching, learning and assessment on a range of Further and Higher Education programmes and part time courses within UCM’s Faculty of Environment and Sustainability. In particular, you may be delivering modules on the Further Education BTEC Programmes and Degrees in the following subjects: Engineering and other relevant qualifications within the faculty. As well as this, you’ll undertake the role of course tutor, providing pastoral support for students.
Day to day, some of your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students throughout study and activities
- Organising and managing student placements
- Developing schemes of work and lesson/assessment plans
- Processing Further Education administration with awarding bodies
- Keeping the course under review with regard to content, assessment and teaching methods/materials
