) is seeking a Course Lecturer to teach the INFS 672 Law Information course, for Fall 2023.
Course Description: The nature and scope of law librarianship and legal information source; examination of the organization of legal knowledge, the legal research process, law information sources both print and electronic.
The lecturer must have at least two years’ experience as a law librarian. Ideally, the candidate will have had taught a course in Law information. Candidate should provide evidence of teaching effectiveness as shown by course evaluations. A Master’s degree in Information Studies (or equivalent) is required.
Please note the Faculty of Arts has standardized Course Lecturer contract start and end dates: the course lecturer contract will be from August 30, 2023, to December 12, 2023 inclusively. Please keep in mind the course start and end dates will not follow the contract dates.
This course will be offered Thursdays, 17:30 – 20:30, from August 31, 2023 to November 23, 2023 (tentatively, subject to change).
Salary will be commensurate with the salary scale for Course Lecturers, as described in the McGill Course Lecturers and Instructors Union Collective Agreement (

).
