We have a great opportunity based at our Dunstable campus for a Lecturer in Plumbing to become a key member of our Construction and Building Services department.
As a Lecturer in Plumbing, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:
- Preparing, delivering, assessing and verifying subject specialisms on a range of courses and levels.
- Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
- Managing students’ learning and provide a high quality learning experience.
- Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
- Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.
Our ideal candidates will have experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and either recent experience of teaching and assessing on a range of programmes and levels, or recent experience of working in UK Electrotechnical industry, alongside the following qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation (2360, 2330, 2365 or equivalent)
- Minimum Level 3 in Education and Training
- English and mathematics or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent or willingness to achieve English and mathematics Level 2 within one year
- Additional salary options for those with IQA, this is desirable but not essential

- 37 hours per week (1.0 FTE) / 52 weeks per year
- 45 days per annum (plus public holidays), pro rata for part-time
