The Creative Industries department at Brighton MET has an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified art and design specialist to join our outstanding team.
We are looking for an excellent arts specialist lecturer with all-round creative skills and someone who has the ability to lead and develop the high-quality provision already delivered on our Level 1 and Level 2 nested programme. Our courses are supported by a team of learning specialists and associate lecturers to assist with high quality delivery. Our courses are extremely popular and class numbers can be high. To support this, our lecturing teams have access to a wide range of high quality resources, professional workshops and studios, an onsite art shop and a team of specialist technicians covering every discipline.
Applications are invited from candidates who are experienced and qualified in the delivery of varied art and design subjects including drawing, painting, 3D, printmaking and textiles. The ideal candidate will be educated to degree level in a relevant subject and will have a full teaching qualification for teaching post-16. It is essential to have experience of teaching art and design in a Further Education setting and especially at Level 1 and 2. Applicants with experience of teaching learners with diverse needs are especially welcomed. As a department, we deliver UAL qualifications and a working knowledge of the current UALab specifications would be a distinct advantage.
