We are looking for an ambitious Learning Officer to develop and grow an outstanding learning programme, based on our 200-year brand heritage collection of everyday household products and related promotional materials. This is a wide-ranging role, with learning audiences ranging from early years, formal learning for schools, colleges and universities, through to family and lifelong learning. The role focuses on the marketing and delivery of a busy programme, while working towards museum goals including greater accessibility, inclusivity, and diversity.
The Museum of Brands is a Registered Charity, delivering an emotional and nostalgic connection to British lifestyle and culture. We considering every visit a learning opportunity. This role will suit an individual looking to step up to the challenge of growing a financially viable and sustainable programme with local, national and international reach. The role offers opportunities to progress and develop, ideal for someone with the drive and ambition to build a successful career in museums.
Hours: 5 days per week Monday to Friday (flexible working welcomed), approximately 1 weekend day per 4-6 weeks
Working pattern: Hybrid (50/50 split weekly), Museum of Brands, 111-117 Lancaster Road, London, W11 1QT and home-working.
We are committed to building a workforce that is open for all, and welcome you to apply, even if your experience doesn’t fit perfectly. With your transferable skills, you could be the right candidate for this, or other opportunities that we have.
We are working to understand our organisation better and to foster a culture that recognises and values different backgrounds, mindsets, skills, experience, knowledge and expertise. By having greater diversity, we believe that we will be a stronger and better organisation. We therefore welcome applications from those who bring difference, and we particularly encourage applications from disabled people and people from black, Asian and minority ethnic backgrounds, as these groups are currently under-represented in the cultural sector.
