Shift: Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm & Friday 9am to 4.45pm (36 hours per week)

Rate of pay: £22,983 - £24,293 per annum (depending on experience)

Location: Evington, Leicester or Doncaster, South Yorkshire (hybrid working available) , 2 days a week from site and 3 days a week from home

We have a great opportunity for a talented individual to work with the L&D Learning Solutions team on a 12 month fixed term contract. We are looking for individuals to be creative & logical to work with the team developing and updating first class learning content.

About the team:

You will work closely with the Learning Solutions Lead, dedicated Trainers and Senior Department Managers to make sure all areas of Online experience engaging & informative content that always has the Learner in mind.

We're looking for someone who can think outside the box in translating knowledge, skills & behaviour requirements into engaging, people-centred activities and experiences.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with the L&D Team and try something new to develop your personal & business skills whilst receiving ongoing development, coaching and support from your line manager for the duration of your time with L&D.

The role of a Solutions Developer is very exciting and rewarding, we have some great projects coming up which will allow the successful candidate the opportunity to be creative in their approach to creating & updating our content.

Being part of the team you will:

  • Be responsible for creating new and updating existing materials, including New Starter Experience courses & compliance modules
  • Create engaging memorable learning experiences for new delegates & existing staff by thinking outside of the box
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders and Learning Solutions Lead to ensure delivery of quality learning content on time, meeting the high standards expected by Next.
  • Have an effective and productive work ethic.
  • Maintain version control standards.
  • Travel between our Enderby and Evington sites to ensure face-to-face engagement with the Learning Solutions Lead and stakeholders may be required.
  • Have a creative flair to be able to imagine how the experiences you create will come to life in the learning environment (both face-to-face & remote).
  • Work collaboratively with the Learning Solutions Lead, Trainers & Knowledge Management Copywriters to make sure all training needs are met.

About you:

  • Creative and articulate with excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in GSuite & Microsoft Office.
  • Be curious and ready to try new ways of working.
  • Eager to take on challenges, meeting tight deadlines.
  • Experience in presenting ideas or solutions to a wide audience (including management).
  • Full driving licence is essential as regular travel between sites is required.
  • Experience with LMS, instructional standards and design methodologies (such as ADDIE, SAM, etc.) is desirable, but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of user-centred experience design is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience using Articulate products is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
  • Experience using Adobe products is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
